I write fiction. My latest novel, Shriek: An Afterword, is now out in the US, published by Tor. I'm currently co-editing a series of anthologies with my wife, Ann, who is also the fiction editor of Weird Tales. We have three cats, all of whom have eccentric personalities. Soon, I will be moving to WordPress and my happiness will be complete.

I got a chuckle out your alcoholic nonfiction book review. My science fiction and fantasy book group read Iain M. Banks' Look to Windward early this year, and we all were impressed with it. My friend Dan, who subsequently searched out and read all Banks' Culture books, also got a smile out of your review. He wrote that he hopes that Banks has "sobered up enough to write some more Culture adventures for me".
