LOST CAT
This is the longest of long shots, but since some Tallahasseans read this blog...we lost our cat, Jackson, last night. We don't know exactly how he got out, but he's an indoor cat, never been outside in his life, and we desperately want to find him. He's family. If you live in Tallahassee and see him, please email me at vanderworld at hotmail.com. He's a friendly cat, may answer to his name. But although he's friendly, he doesn't like sudden movements.

Jeff, so sorry to hear about Jackson! Hope you find him soon! My parents lost their indoor cat, only to find her under the house after a week too scared to come out. Hopefully he's not too far away!
Sorry to hear that Jeff, hope he turns up fine. We had a cat that wandered off and went missing, and she turned up safe and sound. Best of luck.
Jeff,
I do hope he returns - there's nothing worse than not knowing what became of your cat. It happened to us 10 years ago and I still wonder.
Our current boy is out and about all the time - can't keep him in - so he's pretty street wise and so far has always returned home.
Jackson may be frightened and hiding somewhere - cross fingers.

I once found my terror-stricken little Burmese (long gone to the happy mouse-hunting grounds) squeezed into a crack beneath a neighbor's wood shed. She was too afraid to move, even to run home. Found her by dint of much weird cattish howling... Hours of mrrorrr until I finally heard a return.
Time for the old wander & yowl?
I hope your baby flies home safe and sound, and soon.
Jeff,
May you find Jackson soon! In fact, it is very likely you will find him tonight. *sendng you cat-directional vibes*
These guys, even the indoor-only ones, are smarter than we think, and he is probably biding his time in a hidey-hole. Hunger will get him out eventually.
Thanks, guys. We've called all the vets in town, put up posters, put an ad in the paper, driven, walked, and biked around this area. We're also going to hire a cat finder who will call everybody within a 60-block radius.
So, hopefully, he'll turn up. :(

Did you find your cat??????
No, not yet. I don't know what else to do. But it's only been 2 1/2 days, really, so there's still the possibility he'll turn up.
He definitely has a microchip implant, so if he gets picked up by the pound, they'll call us. But we're still going down there every other day to check.

Jeff I lost my kitten too :(
She ran out this morning and I was wondering about that Cat deteice you where talking about. could you let me know how to get in touch with him. My baby is a special needs cat (with brain damage and blindness brought on by abuse in her first 2-3 weeks of life) and cannot feed herself and she is only 8 weeks old and I am deperate to find her.
