Got the good news that "The Farmer's Cat" has been taken for the Strahan-Haber year's best fantasy anthology.
"The Farmer's Cat" appeared in Polyphony 5. Thanks to Deborah Layne and Jay Lake for taking the story. I remember Deborah said at the time that she never thought she'd take a story with trolls in it for Polyphony...

I write fiction. My latest novel, Shriek: An Afterword, is now out in the US, published by Tor. I'm currently co-editing a series of anthologies with my wife, Ann, who is also the fiction editor of Weird Tales. We have three cats, all of whom have eccentric personalities. Soon, I will be moving to WordPress and my happiness will be complete.
